What To Expect From Taylor Swift's New Album "The Tortured Poets Department"

As she continues to embark on her infamous Eras world tour where she's sold out venues for a chance to see an iconic 3 hour performance, Taylor isn't stopping there in 2024 as she gears up for the official release of her brand new album.

Taylor Swift has continued to re-record and release her entire discography, however, it doesn't seem to stop her from curating beautifully original new work, specifically within the new drop, “The Tortured Poets Department”. With it's public announcement at the Grammy awards following her win for Best Pop Vocal Album, she let her anticipating fans know that her next piece of work wouldn’t’ be the highly anticipated “Reputation” album but instead a completely brand new studio release.
The cover art and track list’s followed her verbal confirmation on the April 19th drop and Swifties were ready for something new. It’s description is thought to be a blend of her prior albums, specifically "Red" & "Midnights" as she remains within the casing of pop music. Many believe that the themes trail alongside her public breakup from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn and even may highlight some points from her current relationship with football star, Travis Kelce. In addition to the track list, we were given glimpses into the upcoming collaborations, which include Florence & The Machine as well as Post Malone, two brand new artists to join her long list of collaborators.
Although there are no teaser singles or other allusive drops prior to the release date of April 19th, fans have curated what they think the aura and themes that this next story will bring.

Taylor’s latest campaign with Spotify, which was a one day pop up immersive library event, which held multiple easter eggs to keep us longtime swifties warm and prepared for its official release date. Fans have highlighted a few of them, which include the number 2, the December 13th date, symbolic instruments, pinned locations, and more. It's not yet known if Taylor will add any of these new singles to her Eras tour setlist, however, those in attendance will keep one ear out for any new music from her upcoming release.
